Chris Zheng
Captain ans Software Co-Lead
My name is Chris Zheng and I am a freshman at The Bishop’s School. This is my 6th year in the FIRST program and 2nd year in FTC. Aside from robotics, I enjoy playing the violin, competing in tennis, and designing and creating projects through CAD. I aspire to use my interest in aerospace + infrastructure and my skills in robotics to make a profound impact on the world and beyond.
Alex Tang
Mechanical and Driver Team
My name is Alex Tang and I am an 8th grader at Mesa Verde Middle School. In our FTC team, I specialize in hardware, driving, and graphic design. I enjoy learning about electronics, aeronautics, paleontology, cosmology, and more. Furthermore, I’ve always loved building, which was the reason I first joined FLL and FTC. I love FTC because I get a chance to work with others who also love S.T.E.A.M. I also get the chance to explore some passions that I have, which include building robots and testing them.
Derek Kang
Mechanical and Driver Team
Hi I'm Derek Kang and I am a freshman at Del Norte High School. This will be my 2nd year in FTC and my 5th year in FIRST. In this team, I specialize in hardware design and integration, though I'm always open to expanding my field of knowledge to the software side as well. Besides robotics, I enjoy swimming and tennis, as well as playing the violin. Through this team, I hope to grow individually and as a group, by helping foster a dynamic and collaborative community, not only in our team but also in FIRST.
Andrew Xu
Mechanical and Outreach
Andrew Xu is a 6th grader in The Bishop’s School in San Diego, California. Before CART, he participated in the Robotics summer camp in summer of 2023. He also completed one year of Robot VEX IQ class with Magikid Robot Lab. Outside of robotics, Andrew has broad interest in volunteering, music, math, and science. He won a President Service Bronze Award for his volunteering work. He won multiple international awards in Piano, and has performed in Carnegie Hall in New York, Musikverein in Vienna, Austria, and Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. He is a first violinist in the San Diego Youth Symphony. He was on the National Honor Roll (top 10% nationwide) in the Noetic Math Contest. Andrew is so excited to start his FTC journey with such a great team as C.A.R.T.
Ella Xing
Strategy Lead and Software
My name is Ella Xing, and I’m a sophomore at the Bishop’s School. I am passionate about STEM with a keen interest in coding, robotics, human biology, artificial intelligence etc. My interests with robotics ignited during a two-week FLL summer camp in third grade. I am a part of the C.A.R.T. Strategy and Software Team. I also love dance, piano, art, speech and debate.
Ethan Hu
Software Co-Lead and Mechanical
My name is Ethan and I go to school at The Bishop’s School. I am in the software subteam and the mechanical team. I enjoy coding and using PTC Onshape to CAD components. In addition to enjoying STEM and robotics. I also enjoy writing, reading, and playing the piano. To sum up, I enjoy robotics and FTC.
Madison Yau
Outreach Lead and Mechanical
Hi my name is Madison and I’m an eighth grader at Oak Valley Middle School. This is my second year in FTC and I am in the mechanical, outreach, and graphics team. I enjoy communicating with others and meeting new people. Additionally, being on mechanical and graphics is a combination of the two things I love, art and science! Outside of robotics, I play tennis and have a big passion for music. I’m excited for this season of FTC!
Ryan Luo
Software and Driver Team
Hi my name is Ryan Luo and I am currently a 9th grader going to Del Norte High School. I am in the Hardware team and the Graphics subteam, my job on the team is to help CAD out robot parts and designs as well as help build the robot. Apart from robotics I also play soccer and tennis competitively.
Sushanth Javali

My name is Sushanth Javali and I go to Marshall Middle School. I am in the Hardware Subteam and the Graphics Subteam. I enjoy building and experimenting with gears, shafts and other 3d parts. In addition to liking Robotics and STEM, I like playing volleyball and reading.
Vishwas Tattala
CAD Lead and Driver Team
My name is Vishwas Tattala and I am fourteen years old. I am in the mechanical, and software teams. I am proficient in the usage of CAD in Onshape and Fusion 360 and I enjoy designing crucial robot parts using these software. I enjoy participating in STEM and Robotics programs such as FTC. My hobbies are 3d modeling, animating, and competitive basketball.
